It´s the end of the 1920s and Albin Stormvik steers his boat with a firm hand through the darkness of a late summer evening. He knew that the authorities was on to him so that night he wasn´t shipping spirits. Instead the boat was loaded with most of his wealth, and he was on his way to hide it in a safe place. A place so safe that about a 100 years would pass before someone would find it.

Grandpa Erling was keeping a secret. The secret was locked in an old brown chest in the cabin at Storbådan. He always said that he would reveal it to us some day whenever we asked about it. That day never came. After his funeral, me and my cousins received letters from grandpa:

Mining for minerals on the Ulvö Islands has come and gone over the centuries. There certainly was iron ore found there, but the quality varied, and everything eventually came to nothing. But could it be that the real, exceptionally large, iron-rich ore body was just lying in wait?
